After confirmation of your booking, the Box Office will send you an invoice/contract which will clearly indicate the date, time of the performance, number of students and teachers attending as well as the final price. You will receive two (2) copies of the invoice/contract, please sign BOTH copies and return one copy to The Burlington Performing Arts Centre with the full 30% deposit amount. A booking order is only considered confirmed when the deposit is paid, and the invoice/contract is signed and returned to The Centre. Ticket orders cannot be placed on hold.
2. Deposit and Payment
Upon receipt of your invoice/contract, the school is required to pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% to secure the order. A booking is not considered confirmed until the deposit is received. The balance of your payment is required 4 weeks prior to the performance. All cheques are payable to The Burlington Performing Arts Centre. The Centre also accepts cash, debit, VISA and MasterCard. Any late payments will be subject to a 5% penalty charge and a $15 charge will be charged to the school for NSF cheques.
3 .Refunds and Cancellation of an Event
There are no refunds on school bookings once the invoice/contract is signed by the school. Should a school need to cancel due to issues outside of their control (ie: weather), the consideration of a refund will be made on a case by case basis at the discretion of The Centre. If a performance is cancelled by The Centre, arrangements will be made to refund the school as soon as possible.
4. Changes to your Order
The Centre will take changes to your order up 4 weeks prior to the performance. Should a school wish to increase their booking order, after the 4 weeks prior to the performance, every effort will be made to accommodate the school dependent on ticket availability. An additional invoice will be created and payable upon receipt of the new invoice.
The school contact must speak to the Education Outreach Coordinator in person, via voicemail or email to make any changes. Changes are only considered confirmed once the school contact has received in writing confirmation of such changes from the Outreach Coordinator.
5. Tickets! Tickets! Tickets!
Student Ticket Price: $9.50 (includes all taxes and service charges)
We recommend the following teacher/student ratio for each performance:
Primary Grades: 1:10 = 1 Teacher is FREE for every 10 students paid
Junior/Intermediate Grades: 1:20 = 1 Teacher is FREE for every 20 students paid
Secondary Grades: 1:20 = 1 Teacher is FREE for every 20 students paid
Teacher Ticket Price: Additional teachers/volunteers are $9.50
