Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Serena Ryder will be making her debut at The Burlington Performing Arts Centre on Thursday, December 14th as part of her upcoming tour, with Canadian indie folk band Reuben And The Dark opening the show. Tickets are on sale this Friday, September 29th. For Serena Ryder, music is medicine. It’s the thing that soothes any ailment, and it’s the reason to keep going, even when times get tough. Ryder has always been compelled to write songs, both because she loves creating music and because it heals her, inside and out. Do not miss your chance to see Serena Ryder in Burlington on December 14 at 8pm!

Ryder has released several albums, including her successful 2012 record Harmony, and May 2017’s Utopia, which features the sassy soul-pop romp and lead single “Got Your Number”. Other hits for this prolific artist include “Stompa”, which won Rock/Alternative Video of the Year at the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards and was nominated for Single of The Year at the 2013 JUNOs, and “What I Wouldn’t Do”. At the 2014 JUNOs Serena was nominated for Single of the Year for ‘What I Wouldn’t Do’ and took home two awards, Songwriter of The Year and Artist of The Year, in addition to being nominated for Fan’s Choice Award.

Serena Ryder’s performance is a special addition to The Burlington Performing Arts Centre’s  2017/2018 Season, which includes concerts by other iconic Canadian artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, Jann Arden, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Kim Mitchell, Barenaked Ladies, Tom Cochrane, and Natalie MacMaster. These artists are joined in good company with notable International entertainers such as Louie Anderson, Rosanne Cash, Olivia Newton-John, Graham Nash, and Roseanne Barr. Tickets are on sale now!
