The Royal Treatment for The Burlington Performing Arts Centre
BURLINGTON, Ont. – Brenda Heatherington, Executive Director of The Burlington Performing Arts Centre, extended an invitation to the people of Burlington today to see Canadian Singer and Songwriter, Royal Wood, The Centre’s very first scheduled performance.
Wood, iTunes Songwriter of the Year, is a ballad and pop singer-songwriter who has had his songs featured on Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.
“Royal Wood is fast on his way to becoming a Canadian icon,” said Heatherington. “His passionate and heartfelt performances help create the perfect atmosphere for this event and we are thrilled for him to be the first to distinguish this stage.”
Before Wood takes the stage that evening, Heatherington will present a multi-media preview of the entire highly-anticipated 2011/2012 line-up.
“So far, our audiences have seen only glimpses of the fantastic artists and performers The Centre is offering this season,” said Heatherington. “This preview will bring the season to life with a larger than life multi-media showcase on the stage of The Main Theatre.”
After the performance, patrons will be treated to a wine and cheese reception in the grand lobby. The Centre’s Main Theatre boasts state of the art acoustics and impressive sight lines which promises every seat a front-row experience despite its generous 718-seat capacity.
Full details of the season, including schedules and ticket prices, are available on The Centre’s website, www.burlingtonpac.ca. The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is Burlington’s newest architectural and urban design landmark. Built to Leadership in Environmental Design (LEED) principles, The Centre is poised to become the only freestanding green performing arts centre in Canada.
