The Burlington Performing Arts Centre Presents Canadian Country and Blues Artist, Russell deCarle
BURLINGTON, Ont. – Russell deCarle, founding member and former lead vocalist for Juno-Award winning group, Prairie Oyster, comes to the Community Studio Theatre of The Burlington Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, November 12, 2011.
After over 35 years of playing in the country roots band, the guitarist and singer/songwriter has gone solo with songs based on his own life experiences. Concert-goers can expect a balanced mix of pieces from his album, 'Under the Big Big Sky,' covers of some of deCarle's favourite songs and a few Prairie Oyster tunes.
“Can you imagine any better setting than when a country and blues legend is playing just feet from you?” said Brenda Heatherington, The Centre’s Executive Director. “It will feel like Russell and his band are in your living room.”
The self-described hopeful balladeer is joined in this acoustic cross-country tour by friends Steve Briggs and accordion player Denis Keldie.
