The Burlington Performing Arts Centre Opens its Doors Throughout October
BURLINGTON, Ont. – Brenda Heatherington, Executive Director of the Burlington Performing Arts Centre is rolling out the welcome mat to all Burlington residents.
“This Centre belongs to the people of Burlington and we are thrilled to finally be able to introduce The Centre to its community,” said Heatherington. “The people of Burlington are the spark that makes the Centre come alive.”
This invitation is the first opportunity for the general public to tour The Centre’s Main Theatre, Community Studio Theatre as well as the Family Lobby.
In celebration of Burlington’s Culture Days, a special Open House is scheduled for October 2 when supporters of the Keys to the Future campaign have been invited to perform on the nine-foot Shigeru Kawai grand piano, purchased with the funds raised by the Keys to the Future committee. Further open houses continue throughout the month and are scheduled during morning and evening hours to accommodate as many people as possible.
Come one – come all! From October 5 to October 14, the community is invited to attend an Open House and tour The Burlington Performing Arts Centre on any of these dates:
Wednesday, October 5 from 11- 1p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 12 from 6 .m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 pm.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is Burlington’s newest architectural and urban design landmark. Built to Leadership in Environmental Design (LEED) principles, The Centre is poised to become the only freestanding green performing arts centre in Canada.
