Burlington Community Groups Have a new Home at The Centre
BURLINGTON, Ont. – Burlington’s well known Teen Tour Band has moved their concerts back home to perform at The Burlington Performing Arts Centre with three performances scheduled in October.
“For years Burlington community groups have had to leave their city in order to find a venue for their events,” said Graham Frampton, Manager of Operations & Facility Sales . “The opening of this new Performing Arts Centre is a homecoming of sorts, a welcome back to their own city.”
Since The Centre’s box office opened at the end of August, numerous local artists and community groups have already booked a date at The Centre for their events. These include The Keys to the Future Play-a-Thon and fundraiser, a Social Tea and concert featuring the Canadian Male Orpheus Choir, Hamilton Performer Jacob Moon, the Burlington Teen Tour Band, the Burlington Concert Band, the Burlington Community Theatre and Dance Companies, Top Hat Marching Band and the Rotary Grand Concert to name just a few.
“This Performing Arts Centre is a symbol of the pride Burlington has in the artistic expressions and energies of its people,” said Heatherington. “We believe our new theatre will become a cultural gathering place for families as well as an avenue for the local arts community to showcase their talents.”
