Message from the Executive Director

There is a popular saying that goes, "Build it and they will come".

As the first Executive Director of The Burlington Performing Arts Centre, I would like to rephrase and say, "Now it is built...I invite you to come."

We would never be here today if it wasn't for the vision, commitment and passion of so many people. From politicians, members of the arts community, community groups, board members, staff, donors and volunteers, all with a shared vision that Burlington needed a venue to gather and to celebrate the performing arts. Thank you to all of those that made the dream into a reality.

We now have in the heart of our City one of the most beautiful theatres in the Country.

But a theatre is something that goes far beyond bricks and mortar. The heart of the theatre exists in the magic that happens when artists and audiences come together. Our inaugural season includes music that feeds your soul, theatre that challenges your mind and dance that lifts your spirits.  

When you go through the brochure, I hope you will be inspired to come to the theatre and come many times throughout the season. Whatever your interest, we have something for everyone.

So to each and every one of you, I invite you to come and be part of this magic. Join us in this extraordinary year and be a part of Experiences That Inspire.
